Terms of Participation
Spotlight Collective is a curated, points-based costume exchange designed to keep beautiful costumes in motion.
Members contribute costumes to the collection and receive points that can be used toward future selections.
How Points Work
When a costume is accepted, points are awarded based on its quality, detail, condition, and overall value.
Points:
May be used toward costumes within the Collective
Cannot be redeemed for cash
Do not currently expire
May be shared with another dancer or studio
Most accepted costumes earn between 100 and 300 points, although premium pieces may receive additional value.
Final point values are determined by Spotlight Collective.
Costume Standards
We look for costumes that are clean, well cared for, performance-ready, and free from significant damage.
All costumes are reviewed before acceptance.
Sending Costumes
Once received, each costume is evaluated and assigned a point value.
Spotlight Collective reserves the right to accept or decline any item and determine its point value.
If a costume does not meet our standards, you may choose to have it returned (shipping costs apply) or donate it to one of our charitable partners.
Accepted costumes become part of the Spotlight Collective collection.
Choosing Costumes
Because all costumes are pre-owned, minor signs of wear may be present.
Costumes are selected based on availability, and inventory changes frequently.
All selections are final.
Shipping and handling fees apply.
Signature Collection
Certain premium pieces may be designated as part of the Signature Collection.
Eligibility for Signature Collection pieces is determined by Spotlight Collective.
Updates
As the Collective grows, we may occasionally update participation guidelines, point values, or program policies.
Continued participation reflects acceptance of those updates.
